Animal Rescues Party for Petfinder.com

Montana Companion Animal Network (MTCAN), along with other animal rescues and shelters, is helping celebrate Petfinder.com’s 15th birthday by holding an adoption event from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16th at Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply (formerly Quality Supply) Hwy 93 South in Hamilton.  Animal welfare organizations throughout North America and beyond will be participating in this birthday celebration, with a nationwide goal of 15,000 adoptions on the weekend of July 15-17. 

Petfinder, the largest and most successful online venue for adoptable pets, was launched in early 1996 and has facilitated an estimated 17 million adoptions.  The site is free to both visitors and the more than 13,000 animal welfare groups that post their pets there. On a national level the public is invited to sign a Petfinder birthday card at www.petfinder.com/birthday

Our local event will feature healthy, adoptable pets from MTCAN’s Dawg Gone Acres, the Bitter Root Humane Association, Feral Cat Rescue and more!
